about

In 1996 Justin Nardy, Justin McCrady, and Trevor Sherwood decided to start a band called Quartermast Wind, they practiced at a house on Texas Ave. in Columbia, MO. That house would go on to host some great shows over the next few years. Quartermast Wind only had the chance to play one show, before Trevor moved away to go to school. This recording is most of the songs they wrote in their short existence, and is from a practice sometime in the fall of 1996. The songs didn't have names, and there is a cover of Matchbox Martyr by Glendale. The recording is rough, but the songs are cool, and this is the only version/recording of them besides a VHS copy of the one show they played, these recordings are better than the VHS/Live show recordings. Heavily influenced by Lincoln/Kukim/Ethel Meserve/Glendale/Hoover/Crownhate Ruin etc. Justin and Justin were 16, and Trevor was 18. What were you doing at 16? Sit back and listen through the whole thing. This is some of the very first music Justin and Justin were making together. Enjoy.
